Preventia Team Member Spotlight: Brad Slaughter

Meet Brad Slaughter.
He’s our General Manager here at Preventia.

Brad started work in the alarm security industry 15 years ago because he wanted a job where he could solve complex issues and meet new people, as well as help those people find solutions to grievous problems like theft and life safety. His industry experience and eagerness to help have propelled him over the past 6.5 years to become an invaluable leader and resource at Preventia. From field technician to senior technician, he is now our General Manager and acting Burglar, CCTV, and Fire Qualifying Agent. Just so you know, this is no small accomplishment. A qualifying agent for the State of Tennessee must pass a trade examination – requiring diligent study and experience. Brad earned all three licenses within a year while working full-time as our Technical Support manager, coaching Santa Fe’s varsity and junior varsity middle school basketball teams, and being a father to 4 active kids.

Did we mention he is unconditionally devoted to his incredible family? When asked what he felt was his greatest personal accomplishment, Brad was quick to answer: “my kids – I couldn’t be more proud of all of them.” And, just for kicks, when he was asked to spout out the first words that came to mind, Brad responded in the following ways:

Wife: Awesome

Hero: Cason (his youngest son)

Family: Everything

Brad implements his managerial training from the Emerging Leaders Program by The Work Institute and Entrepreneur’s Organization’s Second-in-Command Program to daily assist our team members and customers. He believes,

“to measure success is all about the customer: my team and I finding the best solution and delivering on what we promise. Each customer has a different budget, quality expectation, and need so finding the right solution is different with each customer.”

As Preventia’s General Manager, Brad provides Level 2 technical support and training, oversees the execution of large-scale projects, adjusts and tracks scheduling to accommodate customer and technician needs, assists with inventory tracking, and handles everything in-between.

He really is our go-to guy!
